Install Acestream on Ubuntu 16.04

Yay, football. For free.

This tuturial was adapted from the good people at htpcBeginner.com specifically this post

I've tried a fair few times to install Acestream on Ubuntu 16.04 without much success.
I finally stumbled on this guide which is fairly straight forward. If you can do clicking you'll be fine.

The whole process takes around five minutes.

Things you will need:
  • Computer with Ubuntu 16.04
  • Internet connection
  • Eyes

Step One.

Download the required files. Click here to do that now.

Step Two.

Download and install GDebi package installer. You can click here to install the package.
You might need to click "open xdg-open" in order to install it.

Step Three

From the files you downloaded in step one, find the file named libgnutls-deb0-28_3.3.15-5ubuntu2_amd64.deb Right click on it and go to "open with" then GDebi package installer.
Once that has installed head to :

Step Four

You need to install the following files in the order given. You also need to install them the same way as you installed the file in step two i.e right click on them and "open with" then select Gdebi package installer.

Remember, install them in the following order:
  1. acestream-engine_3.0.5.1-0.2_amd64.deb
  2. acestream-player-compat_3.0.2-1-1_amd64.deb
  3. acestream-player-data_3.0.2-1.1_amd64.deb
  4. acestream-player_3.0.2-1.1_amd64.deb

After you have installed the last package you should be ready to go. If you search for Acestream in your system it should appear.

Hopefully this post has helped you out. If it has helped you out I'd really appreciate a comment below.
